Australia: Mosheen takes Guineas at Flemington

[bc_video_id:245486:]Mosheen, the winner of the Group 1 Crown Oaks last November, rallied between horses to win the third group stakes of her career in Saturday’s $802,000 Australian Guineas at Flemington Racecourse.

Ridden by Danny Nikolic, Mosheen, a 4-1 chance, finished three lengths clear of 16-1 Strike the Stars. Mosheen broke from the outside in the field of 16, and led for the final quarter-mile.

Meydan: Do It All wires Zabeel Mile

Do It All, winner of an optional claimer at Del Mar last summer, led throughout Thursday’s $250,000 Zabeel Mile at Meydan Racecourse in the United Arab Emirates.

Do It All was listed as a 33-1 outsider with British bookmakers.

Formerly trained by Eoin Harty and now trained by Saeed bin Suroor, Do It All took the lead at the start of the turf race and won by 1 1/4 lengths over Derbaas. Silvestre de Sousa rode Do It All, a 5-year-old Kentucky-bred horse by Distorted Humor.

Australia: Samaready stays perfect with Blue Diamond Stakes win

Samaready, an Australian-bred 2-year-old filly by More Than Ready, remained unbeaten after three starts with a three-length win in Saturday’s $1.07 million Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield Racecourse.

Sent off as the 6-5 favorite in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes, Samaready took command halfway through the race over about six furlongs before pulling clear over No Looking Back, an 11-2 shot. The 25-1 outsider Armed for Action finished third in the field of 16.
