Le Romain is safe in Saturday’s Group 1 Doncaster Mile at Royal Randwick racecourse in Australia.
Winx, Australia’s top-rated horse, is not part of the field for the $2.29 million Doncaster Mile, which is billed as the world’s richest one-mile handicap. Winx is scheduled to run in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick on April 8.
In her absence, the Doncaster Mile on turf has a competitive field of 20, led by Le Romain, Palentino, and Happy Clapper.
From Auckland, New Zealand, to Sydney, Australia, Gingernuts has been unbeatable since late January.
A gelding who managed one win in his first four starts, Gingernuts has won four consecutive races, a streak that will make him the favorite in Saturday’s Group 1 Australian Derby at Royal Randwick Racecourse.
