Lucky Girl, for starters, is not a girl but a 6-year-old gelding who has made 25 starts in Hong Kong over the last three racing seasons there. Johannes Vermeer is trained by O’Brien’s father, Aidan. Max Dynamite, trained by Willie Mullins, finished third in the field of 24, giving Irish-trained runners a sweep of the trifecta in the $4.6 million handicap race at two miles on turf.
