Winx, the world-famous mare who has won 29 consecutive starts since May 2015, races for the first time in nearly four months in Saturday’s Group 2 Apollo Stakes at Royal Randwick racecourse outside of Sydney, Australia.
Her return to action is eagerly anticipated by racing fans worldwide. This is expected to be Winx’s final season on the track.

Race 3 (post time 1:00 a.m. Eastern) is for horses rated 100 to 80 and carded for 2000 meters (about 1 1/4 miles). Race 7 (3:10 a.m. Eastern) is restricted to horses in the same ratings range but is for sprinters at 1200 meters (about six furlongs).
North America regressed off his powerful comeback win Jan. 10 in the Al Maktoum Challenge Round 1, but still won the Group 2, $450,000 Al Maktoum Challenge Round 2 by 2 1/4 lengths Thursday night at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai.
