On Sept. 11, Tavion Prince won the Tuncurry Gold Cup at 1 5/16 miles at tiny Tuncurry Racecourse, a coastal racecourse in New South Wales located north of Sydney.

The Lismore Cup is run at Lismore Racecourse, south of Brisbane. Tavion Prince will have career debut at Lismore on Thursday.

Let’s Karaka Deel, a New Zealand-bred 3-year-old who made his debut in July, has had two starts and is rated as a derby contender in Australia in coming months.

A specific race target could be decided after Let’s Karaka Deel starts in the Victoria Derby Trial at 1 1/8 miles at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on Wednesday.

With a solid recent prep race, Influential Jack can win for the second time in his career in a seven-furlong handicap at Ballarat Racecourse in Australia on Sunday, if he can overcome a threat from the young filly Peskijen.

Influential Jack, a 4-year-old Australian-bred gelding, was second of nine in a six-furlong handicap at Geelong Racecourse on Sept. 6 in his first start since March. He was dismissed at 20-1, but ran near the front throughout to finish 2 1/2 lengths behind Barocha, who is undefeated after two starts.

At his most recent published weight, 1,037 pounds, Lakeshore Eagle is the lightest horse in the featured 10th race Sunday at Sha Tin, and he’ll be asked to carry 10 pounds more than in his most recent start as he tries to extend his winning streak to four.
