Owners can upload vet records to Jockey Club website

Owners who have pledged to make the veterinary records of their horses public can now do so through a link at horseracingreform.org, a website administered by The Jockey Club, the organization that gathered the pledges.

The link will require the owner to create a verifiable account, according to The Jockey Club. The owner can then directly upload scans of the vet records or request that an e-mail be sent to the trainer of the horses to perform the uploads, The Jockey Club said.

Vet records are considered the legal property of the owner of the horse.
