Volatility Index is likely to go off at a short price here, but I find her hard to take after she lost to the inferior Not Taken last time despite working out an absolutely perfect trip, setting a slow pace (indicated by blue color-coding in the PPs). She can win, but I prefer others.
ARCADIA, Calif. - The single ticket jackpot carryover of the pick six has swelled to $438,585 for Saturday at Santa Anita after a formful day of races on Friday.
Only two winners of the pick six races on Friday paid double-digit prices. The highest winner was 9-2.
The pick six pool reached $179,925 on Friday.
The winners of Friday’s pick six races were Westwood’s Wizard ($4.40), Desert Madam ($3), Irish Goodbye ($10.20), Schulace ($4.40), Tiz a Billy ($7) and Picture Tube ($11.40).

Was off slowly last time and was down inside behind horses for much of the stretch drive.
May have run the best of the three fillies exiting the fourth race on May 10.
Low-profile connections will ensure that she is an overlay.

An all-stakes pick four at Penn National on Saturday night, beginning on the sixth race, the Penn Oaks, and concluding with the ninth, the featured Grade 2 Penn Mile, looms an attractive exotics wager. And it looks hittable on a relatively small ticket, thanks to Matt King Coal seeming to be a standout in the Mountainview, the third leg of the sequence.
Here’s a look at the races and the horses I advise using.

ARCADIA, Calif. – Reasonable wagering opportunities are in short supply Saturday at Santa Anita, where field-size struggles continue.
Average field size this meet is 7.39 (through Thursday). Dirt races, which account for nearly two-thirds of the racing, average 7.04. The numbers will decline after Saturday’s nine-race card, which drew 60 entrants before scratches.
We have no cognizant memory of any of our Pix over the years embarrassing us as much as did our 3-year-old Pick last week, who shall remain nameless. ARCADIA, Calif. - The single ticket jackpot carryover has surpassed $400,000 after a formful day of racing at Santa Anita on Thursday.
Thursday’s $2 pick six paid $2,532 for multiple ticketholders, leaving a carryover of $417,988 in the single ticket pool for Friday.
The single ticket portion of the pool has not been hit since May 4.
