The Pace Projector is predicting he will be sharing the lead in a situation favoring the front-runners.
Was going a distance that is too far for him two back, and couldn't keep up with a fast pace last time.
Is getting needed class relief.

There are many big days at Saratoga, but Travers Day is the biggest of them all. And Saturday’s Travers card not only features the Grade 1, $1.25 million centerpiece of the Saratoga meet but also five other Grade 1 events and one Grade 2 race for a total of $3.7 million.
At Del Mar, the main attraction is the Grade 2, $200,000 Pat O’Brien, which lured the streaking Danzing Candy.

Gypsum Johnny (#7)
Was chasing a fast pace last time in a race that collapsed in the last stages.
Should get a more comfortable trip from midpack this time in a race that features other speed.
Would be pretty formidable if he gets back to his prior races at Belmont.

The reigning Canadian champion male 2-year-old didn’t have a clear way through the stretch before making a wide bid and then flattening out a bit in the 12-furlong Breeders’ Stakes. He should be tough on the turn-back to a mile vs. Ontario-sired 3-year-olds in the Sept. 23 Vice Regent Stakes.
