We said we were not thrilled that one of our Pix, Tapit’s Princess, was in a sprint, and it turned out we were correct—she struggled to get into stride and needs to go longer. On the other hand, our other Pick, Higgins, was obstreperous in the gate and not much better behaved when they sprung them. Not a good outcome for our Pix, but in a week few tracks were open, an even dozen BreezeFigs maidens won.

Race 5: Formal Start (#6)
Has earned competitive speed figures in a number of his prior races.
May have gotten the confidence boost that he needed with his visually impressive win last time out.
Should get a fair pace to close into with Flatexcel and O Shea Can U See likely to hook up early.

The shape I see the play is middle, spread, spread, narrow, with Race Me Home (#1) the key horse in race 11.
