Sunday is the final day at Belmont Park before connections and fans head upstate for the 2019 Saratoga meeting, and several entrants on the card have their share of intrigue. Here are a few horses to consider if you’re playing closing day at Belmont Sunday.

Race 3: Deputy Flag (#3)
Comes out of a race from which the other horses who contested the pace returned do much better.
Should encounter a more favorable pace setup here as long as the firsters aren’t terribly fast.
His workout last week suggests that he may be ready to get back on track.

It's a Stars and Stripes Saturday afternoon at Belmont, with five graded stakes races on the card. There are some excellent betting races, including the Belmont Derby and Oaks. His last speed figure may be on the low side, since the first- and fourth-place finishers returned to run significantly faster in subsequent starts.
Gets a positive rider switch to Jose Ortiz.
