BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, November 16, 2019 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

Though our recommended key at Del Mar chucked it early our gimmick play Uncaptured Hero dogged it out around the track to post a nice $11.60 return and joined nine other BreezeFigs maidens as winners. The others came at Aqueduct (three), another at Del Mar, Gulfstream West (two), Laurel, Penn (BreezeFigs excata) and Woodbine. There are numerous first timers on today’s card but we’ve spotted one who could be more than interesting as time goes by, see below. Good luck!

Race 1: Beach Access (#4)

The Pace Projector is predicting he will be on the lead in a situation favoring the front-runner.

Apprentice Joey Martinez has been riding very well recently at Aqueduct, orchestrating some upsets.

Ran well at this level prior to the layoff, earning a speed figure that would make him formidable here.

Weekend GamePlan for Nov. 16, 2019: Picks for River City Stakes, Delta Mile, Key Cents Stakes

River City starter Emmaus wins a third-level Keeneland allowance race in his most recent start.

Describing the North American stakes schedule for Saturday as sparse is an exercise in understatement.

It’s not just that there are only 11 stakes races on the calendar, but four of those are restricted to statebreds and six are for 2-year-olds.

Several of the 2-year-old races have short fields, including the Bob Hope at Del Mar.
