Peck: Tampa Bay Downs horses to watch for week of March 2, 2020

UNSPOILED MOMENTS

Trainer: Juan Avila

Last race: Feb. 26, 3rd

Finish: 3rd by 3 1/2

Beyer: 50

Did well to rally for the show here behind a two-speed number, an effort that's all the more impressive considering the slow pace and the relative lack of pace in the field to begin with; can run down the right group of restricted claimers given a better pace setup.

BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, February 29, 2020 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

Happy Leap Day! February is often a month of surprises but fortunately last week’s Pick turned out to be OK as our key Honey Money finished second and our longshot choice Leyte held on for third after setting a hot pace. There were eight BreezeFigs maidens that won last week at: Gulfstream (five, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Tampa Bay (two) and Santa Anita. Today’s card has some interesting opportunities but there’s one that we find very competitive, see below. Good luck!
