BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, July 18, 2020 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

Con Lima, our Pick key last week, used her enormous stride length to close powerfully and miss by a nose, but she was really green and was probably the best. Meanwhile, four BreezeFigs maiden 2-year-olds won—at Delaware, Del Mar, Keeneland and Monmouth. Bill Denver/Equi-Photo
Standard Deviation finished well when sixth in the Tiller Stakes - his first start of the year and first for trainer Graham Motion.

A script telling Maximum Security’s tale would get rejected for implausibility.

From $16,000 maiden-claimer to disqualified Kentucky Derby winner. A brilliant win in the inaugural Saudi Cup, the richest horse race ever staged, followed shortly by an FBI sting leading to the arrest of his trainer. And now, his intended first start for Hall of Famer Bob Baffert delayed by a global pandemic.

Get outta here.
