RACE 2: BIG AL’S GAL (#1)
With most other North American sports being shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, we hope the sport of horse racing can entertain you during these trying times. Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

Snicket (#8) is the horse to beat after twice finishing second at this level at Belmont. She arguably should have been placed first last time after she was herded out significantly in the stretch and she’s obviously a major contender here with a repeat of that performance.
Our “Saratoga Sandwich” turned out to be delicious last week as Momos came through at $15 leading home Mo Mischief in a $21 exacta in the top half; and after American Piper tired late Midnight Whiskey closed the sandwich with a $7 payoff. Overall it was an excellent week for BreezeFigs graduates with a half-dozen others from each year breaking their maidens.
RACE 5: PROSPECTOR FEVER has a solid late kick and lands in a race featuring a good amount of early speed, which should mean he's well set up to make the last run. LAMARTINE is another who stands to benefit from the expected race flow. DUNPH hasn't had much luck on the green, but those races were before he was with trainer Robertino Diodoro, who claimed him three back and promptly scored with him next time out at 57-1. HUNKA BURNING LOVE and ATTENTIVE comprise a solid entry for trainer Karl Broberg.

Maximum Security – well, what a situation this is. First start since winning the Saudi Cup, first start since trainer Jason Servis was arrested, first start for trainer Bob Baffert. Those are just the circumstances surrounding his comeback, and the way Maximum Security has been brought up to the San Diego Stakes at Del Mar commands attention itself.
