Keeneland
Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (race 6)
Little Blaze, the lone first-timer in our Pick last week and the one with the best BreezeFigs profile, went off at 47-to-1 and even though she had a rough trip every step of the was still got up to be second making her a really nice gimmick and straight play. There were 15 BreezeFigs maiden 2-year-olds that won during the week all over the place at: Belmont (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Churchill (three), Golden Gate (two), Gulfstream West (four), Indiana, Laurel (two) and Parx.
LEXINGTON, KY. – The first appearance of trainer Aiden O’Brien’s troops is always a show-stopper at whatever venue the Breeders’ Cup happens to be stopping at each year. And while the contingent is a bit smaller than usual this year at Keeneland, the spectacle is no less enthralling, as just about everybody pauses what they are doing to watch Team O’Brien parade around the track in a line and in perfect unison, whether at a jog or relatively brisk canter, as was the case here Thursday.

TimeformUS Past Performances include a Pace Projector for each race. This tool tries to predict the position of the field at the official first call of the race. The official first call is after a quarter-mile for races at less than one mile and after a half-mile for races longer than a mile. The Pace Projector also attempts to predict when the pace might be fast or slow based on the composition of the field along with the distance, surface, and field size of the race.
LEXINGTON, KY. – How cold was it at Keeneland on Monday morning? So cold they could not open the main track for training as scheduled at 6 a.m. with temperatures having dipped into the mid-20s after midnight. The conditions created frozen clods of dirt to form, despite constant harrowing of the track starting at 3:30 a.m.
