Every way you looked at the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic, the season’s crowning event, the racing and breeding interests of Kenny Troutt’s WinStar Farm were apparent.
The farm bred third-place finisher Global Campaign and co-owned the Grade 1 winner with Sagamore Farm. WinStar also co-owned runner-up Improbable, an Eclipse Award finalist for outstanding older dirt male, with China Horse Club. Following the Classic, both of those runners came home to join WinStar’s powerful stallion roster in Versailles, Ky., along with fellow Grade 1 winner and Classic starter Tom’s d’Etat.
