Pedigrees could be key in Cincinnatian

The $75,000 Cincinnatian Stakes for Ohio-accredited 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Belterra Park on Friday appears to be a wide-open affair. The race has drawn 10 entrants, none of whom have ever raced on turf; only a handful have raced at a mile or longer. On Friday, Spooky Lady makes a similar stretch-out move and looms a significantly shorter price in a second-level statebred allowance that serves as the feature on Aqueduct’s nine-race card.

The one-mile race, scheduled as race 3 over the inner turf course, drew only a field of six for the turf, plus two main-track-only entrants.
