2026 MEET STATS: 66 - 222 / $454.82 (+$10.82) BEST BETS: 16 - 23 / $53.70 (+$7.70) SPOT PLAYS: 6 - 23 / $69.36 (+$23.36) BEST BET - KARINCHAK (3rd) SPOT PLAY - CHILLIN BYTHE POOL (1st) Race 1 - F&M 20000CLM Pace I'm going to take a shot with (3) CHILLIN BYTHE POOL here as she has the best post she's had in a while against this rather wide-open group and did clock a good final quarter in her most recent appearance. (2) UNDETERRED was a closing second in this class a week ago and gets to partner with Yannick Gingras against from an inside post. (7) DISARONNO HILL has shown the ability to win in this class before but drew poorly again and I'll take a stand against, even with a potent driver/trainer combo. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - F&M Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT / NW2 PM Races or 30000LT Draw Inside Pace (5) ALWAYSBPUFFING IR was second to a heavy favorite in this class the last time she raced back on 3-25 and won over NW2s prior to that. I'll give her top call. (6) SEND IT DOWN SLIM looked like she struggled on the turns last week but was still a game second. Expect her to be sent and be on or near the front again. (4) ALWAYS B LAYLA IR had a recent stretch where she hit the board in five out of six efforts and was fifth in the same event my top selection exits. Race 3 - Winners of 5 but not more than 7 PM Races or 90000LT / NW4 PM Races LT Draw Inside Trot (2) KARINCHAK tallied two back at this level and then was second from first-up on March 25. He gets further post relief tonight and I think could find himself cutting the mile like he did in his victory. (4) FARAH TRIO IT returns to Yonkers off two straight triumphs out of town and she has the leading driver/trainer combination in her corner. (3) SEVEN LAYER took advantage of class relief for a handy win last Wednesday but has also raced well against these types with a second and a third on 3-18 and 3-25, respectively. Race 4 - John Brennan Series Leg #2 Trot (5) COMMODUS A needs to pick up some points since he missed leg one of this series. This horse was a Group 1 winner in Australia, so he's got class, and he comes in off a gaining effort at Pocono on 3-21 when he added Lasix. He also gets Jason Bartlett to drive for the first time since his lone qualifier back in February. (6) ALWAYS A STORY drew the outside but rallied to win her division of the opening leg of this series and hasn't missed the exacta in four straight trips overall. (2) GREEN MEL put in a solid effort from first-up to grab a second a week ago. Jordan Stratton gets a chance with him as Tyler Buter stuck with ALWAYS A STORY. Race 5 - 25000CLM Pace (5) ROSE RUN ASTRO returns from Pocono where he had a second and a bad post in two tries. He was very sharp at Yonkers before that and Stratton has had success driving him before. (1) THEFLYINGROCK joins a high-percentage stable off a claim and got the nod from Bartlett. He also moves in on the gate from eight-hole to post one. (3) GOLIATH HANOVER makes his third start back off the shelf, and although he didn't win, he was favored the last time he faced $25,000 claimers at Yonkers back in December. Race 6 - John Brennan Series Leg #2 Trot (4) EXQUISITE TASTE slides in a couple of notches on the gate tonight and hopefully that'll mean a more aggressive approach is ahead as she's shown many times already this year that she's capable of winning. (7) DIPLOMACY has a similar profile to his stablemate from race four as he didn't get to race a week ago and needs points now. He shows a handy victory against NW20000L5s at Yonkers back in late January. (2) KAZIO DK broke while on the front-end last Wednesday, but I'll bank on him staying flat here and include. Race 7 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot (5) MARIN COUNTY owns a victory in this class back on 2-18 and while he hasn't been able to find the winner's circle since then, he has been in the hunt. He catches a pretty wide-open group here, so I'll give him the nod. (3) WHAT A BUCKEYE joins a high-percentage stable here after facing NW4s at Miami Valley in Ohio and gets to partner with Bartlett. (8) SEISMIC STEP landed the outside but overcame the eight-hole to finish second in this class two back and has hit the board in three straight appearances overall. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8 - 20000CLM Pace (4) DANCE ON THE BEACH tired last Wednesday but is right back in the stable he's had the most success in after a re-claim and gets reunited with Austin Siegelman. (2) TONTO RETURNS rallied to win when he switched to this class a week ago and goes for the leading driver/trainer tandem. (3) JO PA'S WARRIOR drops a notch tonight and was third against tougher $25,000 claimers as recently as March 18. Race 9 - 15000CLM Pace (4) ROCK THIS WAY gained spots and ground in a second-place effort back on 3-12 and has had post and trip excuses in two subsequent tries. (5) MINOTAUR didn't make much of an impact when he was at Yonkers back on February 26, March 5 or March 19 but should be full of confidence off a romping victory at Monticello. (3) ADVANCE MAN partners with Gingras again from an improved post and rallied to finish third at this level a week ago.
