2026 MEET STATS: 77 - 250 / $536.52 (+$36.52) BEST BETS: 17 - 26 / $56.72 (+$4.72) SPOT PLAYS: 7 - 26 / $98.74 (+$46.74) BEST BET - CAPTAIN ALBANO (7th) SPOT PLAY - SPECULATING A (8th) Race 1 - 40000CLM Pace (3) GDS THUNDER GB drops out of the $50,000 claiming level, kept Austin Siegelman over another one and won the last time he faced $40,000 claimers back on 2-16. (4) BOILING OAR led for a long way before he wound up second in this class a week ago and races out of a high-percentage stable. (6) OVERTHINKING steps up but does so off a win and three straight on-the-board results overall for the leading driver/trainer combination. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 15000CLM Pace (7) DEETZY is stuck outside but debuts for a stable that can have one ready to fire and got the nod from Yannick Gingras, which likely means an aggressive approach is ahead. Add in the horse's good form prior to his last speed-and-fade effort, and I'll give him top billing against a wide-open group. (2) OZONE BLUE CHIP showed the ability to defeat $15,000 claimers back on March 11 and gets a driver switch to Brent Holland. (3) DELIGHTFUL TERROR just missed against my top pick on 3-18 and has had two bad posts and a sick scratch since then. Race 3 - NW15868L5 / Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5 / NW8 PM Races LT Pace (6) WHY NOT NOW plummets in class out of the Borgata Series off a sneaky-good effort where he finished with a 27 and change final quarter, and I expect he's going to be driven aggressively. (3) MAC'S MARVEL drops a notch on the ladder and slides in from post seven to the two-hole this week. (2) BET ON BIG JOE makes his second start on Lasix and slides down from the NW20000L5 level. Race 4 - 50000CLM Pace (2) CURLY JAMES A downed tougher optional $75,000 claimers as recently as March 23 and gets a post and class relief combo tonight. (1) BRUTALLYHANDSOME A has finished second in both of his outings since he started facing $50,000 claimers, and that's where I'm going to slot him again from the pole position. (4) KOPI LUWAK has hit the board in five straight tries between Yonkers and Pocono and came up just a half-length short of victory a week ago for a hot driver/trainer combo. Race 5 - MGM Borgata Series Leg #4 Pace (4) MOSSDALE BEN N went a gigantic mile on the front-end last week, and I'll look for him to double up here, especially given his versatile racing style gives driver Jim Marohn Jr. options with him. (7) COACHES CORNER tallied in his debut on Lasix a week ago, and I don't see him taking back given he had to miss leg two. (3) DONEGAL LUTHER N took leg three off but won impressively in his divsions of the first two prelims and races out of a high-percentage stable. Race 6 - MGM Borgata Series Leg #4 Pace (2) TWISTED DESTINY needs to bag some points here off a third and a fourth and then skipping last week. He adds Lasix tonight, gets post relief and lures Dexter Dunn in for the one drive. (3) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N has raced well throughout the series thus far and competes in what is likely the most wide-open of the three divisions tonight. (5) HUNTINTHELASTDOLAR comes in off a second in the fast race won by Mossdale Ben N last Monday and won two straight prior to that. Add in the leading driver/trainer tandem and he's very attractive again. Race 7 - MGM Borgata Series Leg #4 Pace (1) CAPTAIN ALBANO has been a bit more hit-and-miss than I expected in the series thus far, but I have to think the connections want to take advantage of a pole position draw to show more speed and nab the 50 points. (3) SOHO FIRESTONE A has posted two wins and a second in the event so far and gets another new driver as Scott Zeron takes over. (2) SWEET BEACH LIFE just missed by a nose last Monday and has another inside post to work with tonight. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8 - NW11061L5 / Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 / NW6 PM Races LT Pace (2) SPECULATING A squeezed into this race by a dollar as he has $11,060 earned in his last five starts. That means he gets to drop out of the NW15000L5 base class off an effort where he showed early speed but then got shuffled behind the favorite he yielded to and lost all chance. (4) CADILLAC BAYAMA double-drops out of the NW20000L5 level and is a definite wake-up candidate in this spot. (7) INVISIBLE N closed well in a third-place finish last Monday and races for high-percentage connections. Race 9 - NW7500L5 / Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace (8) GENTLE GIANT drew the outside, but I'm going to hope he's put in play by an aggressive driver since he's taking a serious drop out of the $50,000 claimers and this stable has been sending out many live horses the last few weeks. (4) HAMMERING HANK finds a softer spot here than the $40,000 claiming level he's been in and I wouldn't be surprised to see him more forwardly-placed. (2) COLLECTIVE WORKS A gets post and class relief in his second start on Lasix tonight.
