2026 MEET STATS: 13 - 40 / $62.18 (-$17.82) BEST BETS: 2 - 4 / $5.28 (-$2.72) BEST BET: ESCAPE TO AMERICA (5th) SPOT PLAY: CUT N RUN N (2nd) Race 1: $15,000 Claiming Pace (3) TIN ROOF RAIDER A was a solid winner coming off the hiatus and the connections put him right back in for the same tag. Proper classification is so important. (4) SPINDOCTOR HANOVER returns to Yonkers and picks up Gingras. Engblom trainee was 4 for 14 here last year but was second four of those times. (1) AMERICAGREATAGAIN moves back to the rail where he was a winner back in December. Joe Bongiorno is back catch driving here and gets the call. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $40,000 Claiming Pace (2) CUT N RUN N is always in the hunt but rarely finishes it off. Perhaps with the potential for a favorable trip having drawn inside most of his competition the veteran can get over the hump. (3) ITALIAN LAD N was collared late in the mile last week, lands in a similar spot; logical. (1) TWIG would probably appreciate some class relief but he's got speed and the best draw. No reason why he can't hang around for a share. Race 3: 3-6YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (3) ALL OUT HANOVER returns from Dover riding a four-race winning streak and he rejoins the Pete Tritton barn. Racing on the front end has been working out so I can see Marohn employing the same tactics. (2) PERFECT PROMISES gets much-needed post relief and Bartlett drives again; he's won for this barn in the past. (6) WARRIOR FOR TRUTH moves to the DiDomenico barn via claim and he's got the early speed to get into play. Race 4: $15,000 Claiming Pace (4) OVER THE HORIZON likely needed that initial 2026 start more than others and he can be tighter and more involved here. Veteran has proven to be a solid fit at this level. (5) CHECKONWILLIAM GB is also always a factor with this type and figures to offer a bit better price after going off favored last start. (6) SAWYERS DESIRE returns locally at a reduced level for Engblom/Bartlett but hasn't raced since Dec. 28. Race 5: NW7719 in last 5 starts Pace (4) ESCAPE TO AMERICA had the seven and eight hole in his last two so it's understandable why he failed to get involved. Prior to that he missed a head when sent down the road and he gets an interesting driver change tonight to Gingras. (3) I AMA ROCKET backed up in his first race after arriving from Rideau but he was in tough at the 40K claiming level and had been off over six weeks. Fresh face to the Alexander barn could have much more to offer tonight. (2) WINDSUN RICKY is a classy and talented veteran facing softer than he's accustomed to but has last few have been poor; Bartlett drives. Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) NANDOLO N gets class relief and also major post relief, which we know is of the utmost importance to this oldtimer. Only negative is Bartlett opted off, but that helps the price. (4) FASTING is where Bartlett landed, on this Engblom invader. The 4YO has burned money recently across the river but should offer a bit better price here. (3) AMMO gets Gingras for his local return and the Burke trainee has beaten better here in the past. Race 7: NW10501 in last 5 starts Pace (2) IMA PERFECT CHOICE had a solid 3YO season and raced very well to be second when joining the aged ranks. Seems very live from this spot. (3) HIMSELF N upgrades to the leading driver and was an easy winner when last at this NW10000 base class. (5) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE makes his second start of 2026 from an improved post. Race 8: NW16681 in last 5 starts Pace (6) AMERICAN DEALER N seems to have a class edge on most of these and the sometimes camera-shy Toscano veteran would really benefit from an alert getaway by Beckwith. I'll take a shot if the price is good. (3) HELLABALOU has to be better than that last start, doesn't he? (2) CURLY JAMES A is back to Bartlett so he'll be a short price and he doesn't always deliver. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW33161 in last 5 starts Pace (1) SOHO DOW JONES A struck from the pocket in his first off the hiatus and with his back class the bump up to this level shouldn't be a problem; has a recency edge on main rival #3. (3) DIEGO N was 10 for 24 here in 2025 and it wouldn't surprise me if he picked up right where he left off. (6) BLAZING HOME N was very good in three starts at Northfield for Stalbaum and he gets Joe B. to catch drive tonight; trip is uncertain from out there. Race 10: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) AARDIES FLASH N seems to have worked himself into race-ready form with those three winning qualifiers, the latest here last week with Bartlett; top call in the finale. (4) MIKI SHAN N finished well in his seasonal debut and does have a potential tactical edge on the top choice; we could be seeing early speed tonight? (2) SHERLOCK N should be sitting closer with the post improvement and can come away with a share.
