SUGAR PIE HONEY (NW3FM) took the lead quickly, met pressure, got rid of one challenger, dug in but was nailed on the wire by the wide and late-closing second favorite. Beaten favorite can atone with a more favorable track in next.
SHOWMEYOURDARKSIDE (NW1FM) rushed up uncovered, challenged and won impressively. Can take another.
MADRID A (NW1000FM) yielded and was shuffled, followed the winner home, suffered some broken equipment and was second best on the board and on the track.
PIPEWRENCH CHARLIE (POPUP) was second over, hit stride late and just missed in leg 1 action.

EARLY ACTION (CLMHCP30/40000) went to the top, met pressure the last 3/8 and suffered a broken head pole, dug in but was nailed on the wire. Got claimed and should be a major player in next.
DUBLIN DASHER (NW13500) tip into the lane and roared home to win going away and can take another.
RBSSTENACIOUS (SNOWSHOE) was looped and parked to the lead, set own clip and rallied well to be the fastest winner of the two divisions.
BETTERNOTMACHME (NW12000FM) finished full of pace from third over in another good late rush and earns another look in next.
BLUE HUNT (OPEN) put in a :26 2/5 last panel to just miss from third over in slow paced mile and should be a late threat again.

TACTICAL STRIKE (NW6000) tucked early, tipped uncovered and won going away and can take another.
PEMBERTON (NW125000) trotter rallied late from third over putting up a :26 4/5 last panel and deserves a look.
DEVASTATE (W3-5) went down the road and was an impressive on own winner.
DULCES SUENOS DEO (NW1) was second over, got into a bit of traffic, rallied late. Beaten favorite should not be overlooked.
ANGEL MISTRESS (NW1) broke at the start, took back, was third over into the lane, went wide and stormed home to win going away.
HAPPY ANGEL (NW1) went down the road to the last step at 12-1 but was nailed by the big finish of the late-closing favorite.
DELCREST BRENT (NW2500) was 4th over into the lane, rallied wide and was forced a bit wider in the late stages by a badly drifting foe.
