Top Pick Stats: 41/129 (-$49.60) Best Bets: 4/11 (-$6.10); Spot Plays: 6/12 ($10.70) Best Bet: PANTOFOLAIO (Race 7) Spot Play: BETTOR BEAST (Race 1) Early Pick-5: 5,9/2,5/3,6/3,4,7/7   $4.80 Late Pick-5: 3,4/2/2,6/1,5,7/1,8   $4.80 Race 1: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $39,000 LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (5) BETTOR BEAST was moving well at the end of the mile last week. He draws a great post which compliments his early speed. (9) CHEF battled gamely in the stretch after making a second move, but had to settle for second. J-Mac should be equally as aggressive from the high draw. (2) CRAZIN PARTY BOY pulled off the upset last week but didn’t do as much work as others. I’ll use him underneath tonight. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $75,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: N/A $1,770 P/S IN 2025-26. (2) SIDE EFFECTS got a check last week when racing from off the pace. I expect her to step forward in her second start off the claim. (5) CATCHMEGRACEFULLY is obvious here given her recent form, and her versatility gives Cullen options off the car in a shorter field. (1) ARIELS BET is another Cullen trainee who continues to grind out decent finishes. I would expect that to continue tonight no matter the trip. Race 3: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $5,000 LAST 4 STARTS. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (3) MACH IMPACT needed his latest start after being off for nearly a month. I would expect him to be much more involved this week. (6) THE COLT was a fine third last week after racing first over, but he towed the eventual winner right into the race. He should be right there again. (5) LUCKY DANCER looks for three wins in a row after another successful speed try at Flamboro. However, he has had trouble finishing miles in the past. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 4 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (7) RAM stepped up to the NW2 level last week and just missed by a head. I would expect him to be forwardly placed again this week and be right there late. I basically write the same thing for (3) DULCES SUENOS DEO every week, but it continues to ring true. He draws better this week, and should be passing horses late. (4) SOUTHWIND MANHATTN has been her own worst enemy. If she trots, she could win. Race 5: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $82,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (7) WICKED EXPRESS drops back to the level where he wired the field two and three starts ago. I would expect him to be tough on the front end again. (5) VOGUE BLUE CHIP needed last week’s effort after a couple months off. He could add some value underneath. He posted a decent mark here last season. (3) SMILES FOR MILES was bet like he couldn’t lose, and the result spoke for itself. He should be sitting close again. Race 6: CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000. (3) RAYS KREDIT matched his win total from last season after getting a perfect second over tow in his latest. He is a hard trying veteran who is right there most weeks. (4) ALWAYS B SWEETEST has won two of his last three starts and has looked good doing so. He is another who tends to be in contention when not mired at the back. (1) HES SWIFT lost by a head last week as the odds on favorite. His quirks are well documented, but he is in sharp form right now. Race 7: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $70,000 LIFETIME. (2) PANTOFOLAIO has been just even lately, but that was against much tougher horses. If he works out a stalking trip or is driven like he is best, I think he gets the job done. (9) DAFFY HANOVER rebounded nicely last week on a track that was much better. The constant forward trips haven’t taken their toll on her. (7) MY WAY used his typical off the pace style to hit the board against this class. He fits here and will be passing horses late. Race 8: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 4 RACES) RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (6) ZILLENIAL was just even in his return, but that was his first race since August. I think he steps forward tonight, and his price will be decent. (2) HAPPY ANGEL nearly went all the way last week, but just got picked off in the shadow of the wire. The post relief should help if he can get away in good order again. (4) KINNDER ICECUBE is the other early speed threat that should be sitting up close. He is knocking at the door. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS. AE: N/A $990 P/S LAST 8 STARTS. (5) TORONTO finally got a setup when racing from off the pace. He looked good when passing horses and pulling off the upset. I would expect him to be more forward tonight. (1) HARRY G drops back to the bottom level after finishing well back last week. I would expect a patient drive with a preference for the inside. (7) BOTTLE ROCKET produced his best mile in a while last week, and now drops in class again. If Whelan works out a trip, he could provide okay value as the second choice. Race 10: NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $26,500) LIFETIME. AE: N/A $775 P/S IN 2025-26. (8) FATEFUL was better last week when racing against the girls. I think there’s a chance she is activated a little sooner this week, which could allow her to get the job done. (1) FRENCHMONI HANOVER should be tighter after last week’s effort, and now she gets a big post switch. She could add value underneath. (6) GOAL DIGGER hasn’t raced in almost two months, but he had a solid end to his three year old season. I would expect a patient drive tonight; I’ll use him underneath.
