Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME.
(8) SHOWMEYOURDARKSIDE was a sharp winner on debut after a first over move. Hard to pick against a horse racing for top connections after an effort like that. (5) D A MISS UNIVERSE was pace compromised in the Blizzard Final but still rallied to get a check. She will be passing horses late again. (6) TROPICAL CYCLONE got the job done last week and raced well on debut against Showmeyourdarkside. I would expect her to be one of the first horses off the car.

Race 2: POP UP SERIES: STARTERS FOR PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS IN L3 STARTS (W/O $50,000 IN 2025 NE). AE: NW $20,000 IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS) LEG 2. AE: LEG 1 STARTERS.
I thought (3) LEGACYS JAILBREAK raced well last week when making two moves, and now she gets post relief. She fits this Pop-Up much better. (6) WALKONTHEMOON showed some decent trot in the late stages and has enough gate speed to get into a stalking spot. (2) JOKIC has been better in his last two efforts but hasn’t shown the punch necessary to make me believe he can trip out. I’ll use him underneath.
Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(6) DAY OF DELIGHT looked a bit fired up throughout the mile, and even put in a couple bad strides at the start, but the speed is there. Her dam was a stakes filly at two and made over $350,000. (5) STEAL MY SUNSHINE likely needed a couple weeks of rest after being part of an extremely quick opening half back on January 16. Post relief helps. (8) SUNWASHED is slowly but surely improving, and is showing that she can pass horses late in the mile. I think she hits the board tonight.
Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS AE: NW $3,500 IN 2026. AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500.
(9) FATED FIRE finished just half a length back last week after having to weave through traffic late. I would expect Plante to be aggressive off the car. (4) TAMARA HANOVER has been making her off the pace style work to great success in recent starts. The improved post should see her take more money. (3) JOB HUNTER was gapping around the final turn, but rallied decently in the stretch to be right there. Her gate speed makes her an obvious threat.
Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $21,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: N/A $2,730 P/S IN 2025-2026. AE: NW $120,000 LIFETIME.
(6) LA MIKI stepped up to this level with great success last week. It helped that she tripped out, but she was wrapped up regardless. (3) WESTERN WISH battled well to be second after LA Miki pulled in front of her and got the jump. She is back in sharp form right now. (5) COCO JO JO gets a slight drop in class and keeps James Macdonald this week. She should be forwardly placed off the car.
Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $50,000 (OS $68,000) LIFETIME. AE: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER OPT. CLM. $60,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
I’ll try (8) SUGAR PIE HONEY again after she faded back to fifth against tougher company. I would expect her to be forwardly placed again from the high draw. (4) KIKI DEE HANOVER has the post edge on the #8 and enough gate speed to put her in a stalking spot. She hasn’t missed the board in a while. (7) CC ROCKIN ROSIE was a mainstay in the Indiana Sire Stakes last season for the Burke stable, but only had two wins. Her qualifiers were good, but she will need to stay straight.
Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $13,250 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: NW $33,000 IN 2025.
(1) KOOTENAY COCOA showed more than I thought she would in her first start since May. She held her own in her debut for the new barn. I’ll give her the nod tonight, assuming she steps forward. (5) SANTAFES APPETITE got her preferred trip last time and just held on for the win. The gate speed has really unlocked a new dimension with her. (3) WASSAIL BLUE CHIP was better last time when dropping in class. If others battle, she could take advantage this week.
Race 8: POP UP SERIES: STARTERS FOR PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS IN L3 STARTS (W/O $50,000 IN 2025 NE). AE: NW $20,000 IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS) LEG 2. AE: LEG 1 STARTERS.
(4) CLASSIC MAGIC is extremely obvious after her multi-length win in leg one. She is likely to be odds on again. (2) LILYS LASS won the other division of the Pop-Up and has enough gate speed to stalk behind the #4. She will be the better price of the two. (7) MADE OF MAGIC has struggled to finish races on the bigger track. He is the other logical speed type in this field.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES OPEN.
(1) ABSOLUTION saved all the ground in her first start off the bench and raced quite well. I expect her to be tighter tonight and get the job done. (6) TELLS ON A ROLL was never challenged last week, and the result speaks for itself. She has won three of her last four. (4) STYLE FOR A MILE was moving well late in the mile after swinging wide. I think she can pass horses and get a piece.
Race 10: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $6,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000.
(2) VICTOR INVICTUS gets post relief after moving decently in the final quarter and on the runout. I’ll try the veteran on top again. (6) MUSCLE FASHION didn’t get his kind of trip last week and had to settle for a minor check. Look for him to be first to the front this week. (9) MISTER MAGIC has been better in his last two efforts and will provide more value because of his post draw.
