Sentenza faces older competition in feature

Sentenza, a promising 3-year-old by Triple Crown winner Justify, meets some seasoned older runners in Sunday’s featured ninth race at Gulfstream.

He goes in a first-level allowance for 3-year-olds and up over 7 1/2 furlongs on turf. The race carries a claiming option of $25,000.

Sentenza has made all five of his career starts on the turf at Gulfstream. He was fifth at this level in his last start, which came following a maiden special weight win over older rivals.

Sentenza is out of the Galileo mare Primadona. He will start from post 4.
