The catalog for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. winter mixed sale is now online, featuring 623 horses on offer over two days.
The catalog for the Barretts January mixed sale is now available online, with 181 horses scheduled to be on offer.
The catalog for the 2017 Keeneland January horses of all ages sale is now available online, with 1,892 horses on offer. This year’s catalog includes 726 broodmares, 147 broodmare prospects, 732 yearlings, 280 horses of racing age, and seven stallions and stallion prospects.
The Mid States Race Horse Sale will aim to set a foothold as a one-stop marketplace for horsemen in the Midwest, with its first edition cataloging a combined 83 Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, and lead ponies.
The sales calendar in Ocala, Fla., will be undergoing a major change in 2017.
Familiar names led the weanling sire standings at Keeneland November, although judging by the strong performances of first-year sires, they could have some company at the top soon.
