Aussie Girl was a front-running winner of the Grade 3, $175,000 Endeavour. Quatrocento ($3.40) moved to the fore at the start of the 1 1/16-mile Tampa Bay and set fractions of 23.94 seconds for the opening quarter, 48.70 for the half-mile and 1:12.97 for six furlongs. He had more in the lane, and sprinted home to cover the distance on firm ground in a swift 1:41.51. Julien Leparoux was aboard for trainer Fausto Gutierrez. He pushed the pace in the 1 1/8-mile turf race that went in a North American record time of 1:43.42. Quatrocentro is a son of War Front who races for his breeder, St. George Stable. He has now won 5 of 15 starts and the first-place check of $90,000 on Saturday pushed his career bankroll to $474,642. Endeavour Aussie Girl ($10.40) set fractions of 24 seconds for the opening quarter, 49.47 for the half-mile and 1:13.44 for six furlongs in the Endeavour, which was a 1 1/16-mile turf race for fillies and mares. She went on to cover the distance in 1:42.62. Ben Curtis was aboard Aussie Girl for trainer William Walden. Aussie Girl won by 2 1/2 lengths over Candy Quest, while it was another neck back in third to Scythian. Aussie Girl is a daughter of Starspangledbanner who races for Woodford Thoroughbreds.
