Race 1 - NW1/10000 Lifetime/7500 Claimer
(3) FRAGRANT STICK gets sent out for a provisional pilot but was very good in the recent qualifier. (1) FULTONS’ FURY burned cash last week and will likely offer another low price. The 4-year-old gelding has trouble finishing his miles; use caution. (2) KANDY MAC probably needed the last start off the scratched sick; threat. (4) SALLY’S PLACE was competitive at this level last start.
Race 2 – NW750L4
(1) MARY’S DARVIN finally draws inside and should be in line for a much better trip this week. (3) KANAWHA has room to move forward second start off the long layoff. (7) KICK A LOT owns a win against better on the year and can threaten with a trouble free trip. (2) ROCKN STIEN morning line favorite has been dull in two straight and the trainer is listed to drive. If the 7-year-old gelding takes tote action he’s a great bet-against.
Race 3 - NW1500L4
(4) MAN OF FIRE takes a significant drop in class against weaker. (5) DATSYUK should be sharper second start back off the long layoff. (6) SECRET TRAINER six-year-old gelding makes his first start in a new barn against softer. (3) POWER AND FAITH has just been racing evenly; use underneath.
Race 4 – NW1/7500 Lifetime /AE NW2/15000 Lifetime/10000 Claimer
(1) HOME TOWN GIRL filly made a break starting from the rail in her last appearance at this track. If she gets around the first turn pacing she will likely run up the score against this group. (9) ISLAND CLUB raced well at this level a few back. (6) PEBBLES BY ROCK has just been racing evenly and is best used underneath. (4) CHILLICOTHE flashed some ability against similar a few months back.
Race 5 - NW1500L4
(3) GUIDA’S GEISHA just missed against a better field last week and now draws inside. (2) I’VE GOT SPIRIT should be able to get a good pocket trip behind the favorite. (4) EMERALD CHIP has been competitive against better on the year. (6) MEL ROSE DUNN trotting mare doesn’t win often but could pick up a late piece underneath.
Race 6 - NW2750L4
(1) MARTZ CREEK LIBY mare just needs to ration out her early speed to get her picture taken. (9) HENPECKED raced well last week and will offer a big price. (3) HUPOMONE has hit the board in two of three at this level. (4) CABO SAN LUKAS has yet to win on the year; use underneath.
Race 7 - NW1500L4– **$10K GTD Pick 4**
(5) STONEBRIDGE TONIC twelve-year-old stallion should be sharper second start back off a really nice first effort. (1) ACTING CAPTAIN almost got the job done at this level last week. (3) LUNATIC FRINGE showed a decent burst of speed last race before tiring late. (4) SNEAK ON BYE needs a good setup and racing luck to threaten.
Race 8 – NW2/20000 Lifetime / AE NW3/30000 Lifetime/15000 Claimer
(3) DR JUDGE will be very tough to beat with any of his recent efforts. (5) SUICIDE BLONDE filly looks like the only horse that could threaten the favorite but has been very inconsistent since the barn change. (1) MONSTER MYLES should be closer turning for home but would need a lot more to tussle with the top choice. (2) POWER STICK needs a perfect ground saving trip to even have a shot at hitting the ticket; use underneath.
Race 9 - NW1500L4
(1) SPIRITED ENCOUNTER put in a huge three-quarters of a mile last week before tiring a bit late. (2) MIGHTY COWBOY owns a big burst of speed when timed right and should be in line for a good trip up close. (9) Y S JOE has been competitive against better on the year. (3) GO LIKE A PRO might be able to pick up a late piece underneath.
Race 10 - NW4/30000 Lifetime / AE NW6/40000 Lifetime/20000 Claimer
(7) COOPER will look to set a seventh straight lifetime mark to start the year; short price. (8) MM’S CREDIT LINE eight-year-old mare should offer decent value underneath. (1) COCO HALL owns multiple wins at this level and draws the rail. (6) MUSIC TEACHER has hit the board in seven of ten starts.
Race 11 - NW2750L4 - **$10K GTD Pick 4**
(1) ROYAL REGATTA is only one for twenty-four on the season but draws the best post down in class. (2) WILD GOOSE CHASE shows a win against better on the year and will offer a much better price this week. (3) MCLUCKY might be able to pick up the pieces should an early speed duel arise. (9) FRISKIE CRUISER has yet to win on the year but shows decent efforts against similar.
Race 12 - NW2/20000 Lifetime
(5) MS O’REILLY trotting filly finds a much softer spot this week; big chance. (2) BOSLEY morning line favorite has just been racing evenly; use caution. (1) CURIOUS LASS adds second-time
Lasix off a win against weaker; needs more. (9) MAN THE KEG had some sneaky late trot against similar last start.
Race 13 - NW1/7500 Lifetime /AE NW2/15000 Lifetime/10000 Claimer - **$10K GTD HI-5**
(1) WOODY WOODPECKER scored an easy victory at this level last week. (2) BILBO BOBBINS sophomore colt has some upside in a weak field. (5) CROOKSHANKS is one of the faster pacers in the race but needs an ideal setup. (3) GOTHAM HANOVER lightly raced 3-year-old has hit the board in four of seven career starts.
Race 14 - NW1/7500 Lifetime /AE NW2/15000 Lifetime/10000 Claimer
(5) MARK C ADAMS flashed some ability a few back and will offer a huge price in a wide-open field full of question marks. (4) THE LINK OF ART couldn’t seal the deal last week off easy fractions; command a price. (1) O U FIREFLY would have been the horse to beat on paper with a better driver. (7) CRYSTAL PETE fits in with this bunch with a good setup.
Race 15 - NW750L4
(2) DIVULGE was an easy winner when last seen at this level. (9) HILLBILLY HANOVER gets sent out second start for a hot barn off a good first effort. (1) GRANDPASLILDRAGON should be in line for a ground saving trip up close. (3) AJ’S PEARL is 0 for the year; use underneath.
Race 16 - NW1/7500 Lifetime
(6) MAJESTIC HEART set a lifetime mark last week going wire to wire. A repeat of that effort makes it two straight. (9) DOUBLE B well-bred gelding was much improved in the qualifier. (3) IGOTALLNET has hit the board in two straight against similar. (5) HAPPY IKE just missed at this level last week racing gamely.
