Dan Patch Award winners Lexus Kody and Yo Tillie started their respective campaigns with victories in qualifying events on Saturday morning at the Meadowlands. Ron Burke-trained Lexus Kody (Yannick Gingras) followed stablemate Chapercraz (Dexter Dunn) through fractions of 29 1/5, 56 3/5 and 1:25 before he went by while in-hand in the lane to tally by 2 3/4 lengths in 1:53 4/5, while Yo Tillie (Todd McCarthy), trained by Andrew Harris, won by three lengths in 1:54 2/5 after she led at the 29 1/5 quarter, 56 3/5 half and 1:25 1/5 three-quarters.  Burke and Gingras also won races with 4-year-old Bar Hopping gelding Cheers Hanover (1:56 2/5) and Swingtown (1:54 3/5), a 4-year-old son of Downbytheseaside. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Jason Bartlett prevailed multiple times as well, connecting with 3-year-old Walner filly Custom (1:56 2/5) and 3-year-old Walner colt Kingmen for trainer Per Engblom, along with Harris trainee Unreasonable (1:53 3/5), a 4-year-old daughter of Huntsville. Rounding out the victors during the session were 3-year-old Gimpanzee filly Ygritte (1:57 4/5) for Mattias and Marcus Melander, 3-year-old Captaintreacherous filly Darlin's Angel (1:53 1/5) for Lauren Tritton and Juan Cano, 3-year-old Perfect Sting gelding Be Sting (1:52 1/5) for Scott Zeron and Joe Holloway and American Son (1:54 1/5), a 4-year-old son of American Ideal for Dexter Dunn and Chris Ryder.
