NEW ORLEANS – I'm a Chatterbox went off at 8-1 when she led all the way to win the Silverbulletday Stakes by eight lengths, and she was a 3-1 favorite when she stormed from behind to win the Grade 3 Rachel Alexandra by 2 1/2 lengths. She'll likely be an odds-on favorite when she breaks from the No.  6 post in an eight-filly field running Saturday in the $400,000, Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks on the Louisiana Derby undercard. In Churchill Downs's Kentucky Oaks future wager pool that closed March 1, I'm a Chatterbox closed at 6-1, the lowest odds among 23 individual betting interests. The mutuel field is the 7-2 favorite. "I'm not saying I'm a Chatterbox is the best filly in the country, but a lot of people are saying she is,'' said Larry Jones, who trains her. Because of her reputation, the racing office was expecting a small field, and stakes coordinator Scott Jones said he wouldn't be surprised to see a few scratches. A victory by I'm a Chatterbox would make her the first filly to sweep the three two-turn stakes races in the local series ending with the Fair Grounds Oaks. The series began in 1992. Before then, the first stakes prep for 3-year-old fillies headed to the Fair Grounds Oaks was a sprint. Here's the entire field, in post-position order with jockeys, for the 1 1/16-mile Fair Grounds Oaks: Forever Unbridled (Brian Hernandez Jr.), Desert Valley (Colby Hernandez), Jugni (James Graham), Audrey's Double (Richard Eramia), Danette (Kent Desormeaux), I'm a Chatterbox (Florent Geroux), Shook Up (Robby Albarado), and Tachiello (Miguel Mena). The 14-race, Louisiana Derby card also includes two Grade 2 stakes for 4-year-olds and up – the $400,000 New Orleans Handicap, a 1 1/8-mile race on dirt, and the $300,000 Mervin Muniz Memorial Handicap, a turf race at about 1 1/8 miles. Four other stakes Saturday are for Louisiana-breds. In post-position order, here's the field for the New Orleans Handicap: Red Rifle (Geroux), Go Go Rocket (Brian Hernandez Jr.), Mystery Train (Francisco Torres), Afford (Albarado), Moreno (Joe Talamo), Albano (Kerwin Clark), Indycott (Eramia), One King's Man (Mena) and Call Me George (Graham). Here's the Muniz field: Chocolate Ride (Talamo), Slumber (Alan Garcia), Paroled (Brian Hernandez Jr.), Divine Oath (Geroux), Highball (Graham), Potomac River (Juan Vargas), and Coalport (Mena). Larry Jones is seeking his third Fair Grounds Oaks victory. He won with Proud Spell in 2008 and Believe You Can in 2012. Both of those fillies went on to win the Kentucky Oaks. I'm a Chatterbox's challengers include two graded-stakes-placed fillies – Forever Unbridled, trained by Dallas Stewart, and the maiden Danette, trained by Keith Desormeaux. Forever Unbridled finished third in the Silverbulletday before finishing second in the Rachel Alexandra. Danette finished third last year in the Grade 1 Chandelier at Santa Anita before finishing fifth, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner Take Charge Brandi, in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. "It'll be a good horse race,'' Stewart said. "A couple of nice fillies in there. We'll see how they perform.'' Shook Up, trained by Steve Asmussen, finished fifth in the Rachel Alexandra. In her previous start, she finished second to Lovely Maria, who in her next start finished second to stablemate I'm a Chatterbox in the Rachel Alexandra. The most accomplished horse in the New Orleans Handicap field is Grade 1 winner Moreno, coming off a runner-up finish in the Santa Anita Handicap for trainer Eric Guillot. Mystery Train, a Group 1 winner in his native Argentina, is coming off a runner-up finish in the Grade 3 Mineshaft at Fair Grounds for trainer Darrell Vienna. Graded stakes winner Red Rifle, trained by Todd Pletcher, was third in the Mineshaft. Graded stakes winner Albano, trained by Jones, prepped for this race with a romp in the Maxxam Gold Cup at Sam Houston. Former claimer One King's Man, trained by Joe Sharp, is coming off a rout of fellow Louisiana-breds in the Premier Night Championship at Delta Downs. Afford, trained by Greg Geier, won an optional claimer March 1 at Fair Grounds, and the graded-stakes-placed Go Go Rocket, trained by Michelle Lovell, was second in that race, with Call Me George, trained by Grant Forster, third. Former claimer Indycott is coming off an optional-claiming victory for trainer Tom Amoss. The Muniz field includes four graded stakes winners – Chocolate Ride (trainer Brad Cox), Divine Oath (Pletcher), Coalport (Mike Maker), and Potomac River (Jose Cameo). Former claimer Chocolate Ride won the final Muniz prep, the Grade 3 Fair Grounds Handicap, by 1 3/4 lengths and is likely to attract solid betting support. So will the graded-stakes-placed Slumber, trained by Chad Brown. That horse is coming off a runner-up finish, a nose behind Mshawish, in the Grade 1 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap.
