Race 1 – 5-6000 Claimer
(8) WAYMORE has been sharp for the new trainer. (7) NATIVE’S BEST BET is more than capable of beating this bunch with a good setup. (5) LIL ORPHAN ELMER goes for three straight at this level; short price. (4) AL’S BRIEFS gets sent out first start for new connections. The pacer is fast when right and will offer a big price.
Race 2 – Two-Year-Old Fillies
(3) FOX VALLEY NIA put in a big effort from a tough spot last week against a much better group. (4) RYANS ALLEGRA has a good record of hitting the board and will offer value underneath. (1) ASHLEES SPUR filly appeared to be going in the right direction before the last two; command a price. (2) DANCIN EYES should be in line for a ground saving trip.
Race 3 – Three-Year-Old FM Pace Consolation (Mandatory Payout P4)
(6) CAROLINE GR filly finds a soft spot to pick up a nice chunk of change; fires early. (2) FOOLISHLITTLEGIRL owns tactical gate speed and should be able to sit right on the favorite’s back most of the mile. (5) GRACE ANN has also been facing tougher and should be closer turning for home with the short field. (1) YANKEE JOANIE draws the rail but has yet to hit the board on the year; use underneath.
Race 4 - FM NW4/40000 Lifetime
(1) FLIRTINWITHTROUBLE freshman filly faces older but has had good success against tougher in Indiana. (2) RUE HANOVER well bred filly has really turned it around for the new barn. (6) FRESH EYES owns a win at this level two back. (5) FOX VALLEY SIERRA morning line favorite has faltered at this level on multiple occasions; use caution.
Race 5 - 4-5000 Claimer
(4) SHADY’S DREAM BOY has been ultra-consistent at this level. (2) TYMAL TORCH showed some life last week late. (3) LUCPARK picks up the top driver for capable connections. (6) LUKE’S ROCKETMAN has room to improve second start back off the month layoff.
Race 6 – Two-year-Old C&G Trot Consolation
(4) LOU PASCHAL lays over the field on paper; short price. (2) EASY EO might be the only threat to the top choice with a lot of racing luck. (6) LOUS PAISANO is one of few in the race that has stayed flat in three straight. (7) LOUS MERLIN just needs to stay trotting for chance to hit the ticket underneath.
Race 7 – Open II- **$30k GTD Pick 4 (Mandatory Payout)**
(7) WALTER WHITE has been facing tougher in Indiana and will be blasting for the lead early. (5) MUSCULAR BABE has really started to blossom into a nice trotter. This is a huge step up but the trotting mare might be up to the task. (8) CALL FOR JUSTICE seven-year-old stallion raced very well last start despite the miscue. (1) DOUBLE A CASH HALL has had trouble winning but gets a huge post edge on the field and can hit the ticket at a big price.
Race 8 - NW3/15000 Lifetime/AE NW1500L4
(7) MICHONNE three-year-old filly trotter looks to make it five wins in eight starts on the year. (6) LETSGOFORITALL is probably the only other horse in the field that can trot with the top choice. The 3-year-old made a break last week but had been close in three prior efforts. (4) CAPTAINBLACKSPAROW adds second-time Lasix picking up a huge driver change. (8) RAGNAR ROCKS needs a good setup for a chance to pick off some late tired horses; use underneath.
Race 9 - NW3/15000 Lifetime/10000 Claimer
(6) FREDDY B QUICK set a lifetime mark last week off a month layoff; big chance. (7) NET TEN MONEY raced well at this level two back. (8) SOUTHSIDE KID has hit the board in eight of nine starts. (9) DASH AROUND has been knocking on the door and will offer a huge price with the low percentage pilot.
Race 10 – FM NW4/30000 Lifetime/11000 Claimer – Mandatory HI-5 Payout
(4) FINLEYS FILLY owns a big brush when timed right. (5) ROBERTS NEW LIFE shows good closing ability with a decent setup. (1) SAND AND ROCKS comes into the race off a scratch but shows good efforts against this group. (3) DUNE DAME pacing mare just needs to ration out her speed early for a chance to hold on late.
