Steve Andersen|Jan 15, 2026

Fdd Dreams, winner of the Ruidoso and All American derbies in New Mexico in the spring and summer and the Champion of Champions against older horses at Los Alamitos last month, was named 2025 Quarter Horse World Champion at a ceremony in Oklahoma City on Wednesday evening.

Fdd Dreams, a gelding by Fdd Dynasty, won 5 of 8 starts and earned $1,210,129 in 2025 racing for Javier Rodriguez’s La Feliz Montana Ranch of New Mexico. A winner of 10 of 17 starts and more than $2.1 million in his career, Fdd Dreams was also recognized as overall champion 3-year-old and champion 3-year-old gelding.

Rodriguez was honored as leading owner. Xavier Rodriguez, who is not related to Javier Rodriguez, trains Fdd Dreams and was named champion trainer for the first time at the age of 25. Luis Martinez, who rode Fdd Dreams through 2025, earned his first title as champion jockey.

MJ Farms of New Mexico was honored as champion breeder for the second consecutive year.
