A longtime sportswriter and editor, Mike Seely was Daily Racing Form's Fairmount Park correspondent in the mid-aughts before returning to the publication full-time as a copy editor, affiliate writer, and Emerald Downs correspondent in 2024. He lives in his native Seattle and once wrote a book about the city's dive bars.
