Trainer Todd Pletcher said the training session was routine for a first day back following a race.

"You’re just kind of watching their energy level, their soundness and they train the way you expect them to train right after a race," Pletcher said. "He did all those things."

On Tuesday, Pletcher and owner Mike Repole released a statement in which they said a physical examination showed that Uncle Mo was completely sound and that he remains on course for a Monday trip to Louisville to prepare for a probable start in the May 7 Kentucky Derby.

On Thursday, the connections of Uncle Mo were hoping to get results from bloodwork taken on the colt as well as an ultrasound of the colt’s internal organs, and stomach scoping.
