Sharing might be considered for a trip to Royal Ascot

ARCADIA, Calif. – Sharing’s win in Friday’s Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita is likely to lead to conversations about a potential trip to Royal Ascot in June.

Sharing won her second consecutive stakes in the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf at a mile, closing from fourth in a field of 14 to win by 1 1/4 lengths over the English filly Daahyeh. Sharing (13-1) races for Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Antony Beck and is trained by Graham Motion.

Motion said after the race that would he discuss with his clients the option of starting in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at a mile at Royal Ascot in June.

“It’s something that I’d like to bring up,” he said.

If Sharing remains exclusively in the United States, there are ample lucrative opportunities, notably the series of three stakes for 3-year-old fillies on turf at Belmont Park and Saratoga in the summer.

For a 2-year-old, Sharing is a calm filly who could handle a lengthy flight and the circumstances of running in a different environment in England, Motion said.

“She’d be a good one to bring over,” Motion said.

Motion finished fourth with Miss Temple City in the 2015 Coronation Stakes. Miss Temple City made three trips to Royal Ascot in her career, but was never better than fourth.
