Although outsprinted early over a sealed, sloppy track, this colt came with a professional run to overwhelm the pacesetters; altered course to the inside in midstretch and picked them up without much fuss; must break from a tough inside post, but should get some speed to attack once again; not out of this with normal 2nd-out improvement.

2. IRISH SWEEPSTAKES (Any Given Saturday - Miss Blarney Stone, by Dynaformer)
This filly has faced males before as she rushed up 4 wide to prompt the salty Wired Bryan before faltering late; battled with Aspree (finished 5th) early when dropped in with fillies on 7/19, put that one to bed turning for home and romped by over 7 lengths; still takes a few strides before she makes that important final lead change; quick from the gate; not out of it.

3. DOUBLE GOLD (Posse - AVie's Fancy, by Lord Avie)
Broke sweetly and pushed the leaders while 3 wide before taking over turning for home; didn't face much of a challenge while being driven home by Rosie; it's worth noting that 3 of the horses he bested returned to lose at 5-2 odds or less (2 at 3-2 or less); may attempt to rate just a bit here and can't be ignored.

Nicely-bred colt broke a beat slow in the debut, but rushed up along the inside to grab the lead and took no prisoners thereafter; the runner-up from that race has potential and 3rd-finisher Howaboutwe returned to graduate; talented, but may face a tougher pace scenario this time around; factor.

5. HOWABOUTWE (Da Stoops - Corredor Wind, by El Corredor)
Fractious before the debut, but the addition of blinkers allowed him to focus better in the off-the-turf affair; pressed co-chalk Carolinian from the outside before getting the better of that one in the stretch; he had an edge over that field as an MTO entrant and he didn't make his final lead change until the 1/16th pole; has speed, but prefer others on top.

6. OGERMEISTER (Silver Train - To the Good Times, by Polish Numbers)
