Oh Baby Oh Baby wins third straight in Lookout Stakes

Oh Baby Oh Baby and jockey Ashley Broussard win the Lookout Stakes by four lengths Friday night.

Oh Baby Oh Baby won her third consecutive race on Friday night, rolling home by four lengths in the $65,000 Lookout Stakes at Delta Downs. Look Into My Eyes finished second, while it was another 1 1/4 lengths back to Believeinsomething in third.

The Lookout was a 7 1/2-furlong race for fillies and mares who had never won a stakes. It also was restricted to horses bred in Louisiana.

Oh Baby Oh Baby ($4.40) took quick command at the start and was up by six lengths through an opening quarter in 23.17 seconds. She increased her advantage through a half-mile in 47.60 seconds and six furlongs in 1:13.37 before covering the distance on a track rated fast in 1:34.40.

Ashley Broussard was aboard for trainer Sam Breaux.

Oh Baby Oh Baby began her streak in an optional $15,000 claiming race that she won by 13 1/2 lengths Oct. 28 at Delta. She then accounted for an optional $20,000 claiming race at the track Nov. 24 before taking down the Lookout.

Oh Baby Oh Baby races for the partnership of Above The Crowd Stable and Horseplayers Racing Club. She is a 4-year-old by Orientate. Oh Baby Oh Baby earned $39,000 for the win, her eighth from 21 career starts. She has banked $208,902.
