OBS April: Seven work fastest furlong at second breeze show

A septet of juveniles completed a one-furlong breeze in :10 seconds flat to lead Tuesday’s session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. spring 2-year-olds in training sale under-tack show.

The seven horses to hit the mark on day two of the six-day breeze show tied a Flashy Bull colt who achieved the same time during Monday’s opening session. The horses breezed over the Ocala Training Center’s all-weather Safetrack surface.

Following are the seven horses to tie for the fastest breeze during Tuesday’s under-tack show.

Consigned as agent by Kings Equine, the New York-bred filly is from the family of Horse of the Year Ferdinand and Grade 1 winners Prince True, Hidden Light, and Artie Schiller.

The page also includes champion Johannesburg, Grade/Group 1 winners Preach and Minardi, and Grade 2 winners Tale of the Cat and Fed Biz. Randy Miles consigns the filly as agent.

► An Elusive Quality colt out of the winning Danehill Dancer mare Russian Symbol. The dam is a sibling to Group 1 winner Esoterique and Group 2 winner Russian Hope, Russian Cross, and Archange d’Or. He is consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent.

► A Summer Bird colt out of the winning Tapit mare See Rock City, whose two foals to race are both winners, including the Grade 3-placed One More. See Rock City is also the dam of Korean champion Dynamic Dash. The colt is consigned by Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds, agent.

Consigned by Off the Hook, agent, the colt is out of the stakes-winning Johannesburg mare Private Dreams. The family is an offshoot of a prominent Phipps family line that includes champion Personal Ensign and Grade 1 winner Personal Flag, as well as Group 2 winners God of Chance and Strong Suit, and Group 3 winner Giacom.

The fastest 1/4 mile work on Tue. April 14 was by a FILLY, not a colt as stated in the article.
