Liaison/CashCall Futurity
Benoit & Associates Liaison, with Rafael Bejarano riding, wins the CashCall Futurity.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Liaison was the only potential Kentucky Derby starter to work on Wednesday, going a stiff six furlongs in 1:12.92 at Churchill Downs with jockey Shaun Bridgmohan aboard.

Liaison, whom trainer Bob Baffert named a definite Derby starter on Tuesday, broke off at the 5 ½-furlong pole and posted splits of 12.51, 24.70, 36.89, 49.11 and 1:00.56, finishing his work a sixteenth of a mile past the wire before galloping out seven-eighths in 1:26.58.

Liaison, winner of the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity in his 2-year-old finale, has failed to hit the board in three starts at 3, including a sixth-place finish in the Santa Anita Derby.
