Fourteen tie for fastest time during first OBS March breeze show

The plateau time for Wednesday’s session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. March 2-year-olds in training sale under-tack show was well established at 9 4/5 seconds, with 14 horses tying for the co-fastest time over an eighth-mile.

Wednesday’s breeze show was the first of three ahead of the OBS March sale, which will be held March 15-16. The workouts were conducted over the Ocala Training Center’s all-weather Safetrack surface.

The following are the 14 horses to breeze a furlong in 9 4/5 seconds Wednesday:

Hip No. 20, a Gone Astray colt out of the winning Honour and Glory mare Honour Isabel, from the family of champion Bernardini and Broodmare of the Year Cara Rafaela. Craig Wheeler consigns the colt, as agent.

Hip No. 29, a filly from the first crop of Shackleford out of the stakes-winning Untuttable mare Into Reality, whose runners include stakes-winner Meadowood. She is consigned by Wavertree Stables, agent.

Hip No. 43, J Lo Style, an Into Mischief filly out of the unplaced Swedaus mare J Lo On the Go, whose offspring includes stakes producer Rate Shock. She is consigned by Price Bloodstock, agent.

Hip No. 64, a Trappe Shot filly, and the first foal out of the winning Jump Start mare Krista, whose page includes Group 2 winner Saayerr, Group 3 winner Heart of Joy, and Grade 2-placed stakes winner Peppi Knows. Peggy Dellheim consigns the filly, as agent.

Hip No. 73, an Into Mischief filly out of the stakes-placed Carson City mare Lanai City, whose extended family features Grade 2 winner Pok Ta Pok and Penny’s Reshoot as well as multiple Grade 3 winner Eagleton. She is consigned by SBM Training and Sales, agent.

Hip No. 80, a Tale of the Cat colt out of the Grade 3-placed stakes-winning Alphabet Soup mare Lentil. Wavertree Stables consigns the New York-bred, as agent.

Hip No. 91, a Wildcat Heir filly out of the winning More Than Ready mare Love in Bloom, from the family of Grade 2-placed runners Pretty Jane and Ask Not. Niall Brennan Stables consigns the colt, as agent.

Hip No. 116, a Big Drama filly out of the winning Grand Slam mare Miss Grandiose, from the family of Japanese champion Apapane. She is consigned by Southern Chase Farm, agent.

Hip No. 124, a More Than Ready filly out of the winning Valiant Nature mare Miss Valiant, whose foals include stakes winner Fearsome and stakes-placed Valtrus. She is from the family of Grade 1 winner Fleet Renee, Grade 2 winner Future Quest, and Grade 3 winner Darien Miss. Wavertree Stables consigns the filly, as agent.

Hip No. 126, Merry Mischief, an Into Mischief filly out of the placed Distorted Humor mare Miss Veronica, from the family of Grade 2-placed stakes winner Birr. Ciaran Dunne’s Wavertree Stables is the consignor, as agent.

Hip No. 167, a colt from the first crop of Hansen, out of the winning Grand Slam mare Palomanegra. The page includes multiple Grade 3 winner Falling Sky. Crupi’s New Castle Farm consigns the colt, as agent.

Hip No.  171, a colt from the first crop of sire Gemologist, out of the Grade 3-placed multiple stakes-winning Sky Classic mare Penny Marie, whose runners include Grade 3-placed Centrique and stakes-placed Bern Legacy. Hip No. 178, a filly from the first crop of Maclean’s Music, out of the winning Gilded Time mare Placerita, making her a half sister to multiple stakes winner Saturday Nite Ride, and an extended family member to Grade 1 winners The Big Beast and Slew the Dragon. Woodford Thoroughbreds is the consignor, as agent.

Hip No. 189, Masci, a Girolamo colt out of the winning El Prado mare Prominent, making him a full brother to Grade 1-placed stakes winner She’s All Ready. Three-time champion Gamely and Canadian Horse of the Year Fatal Bullet can be found in his extended family. Crupi’s New Castle Farm consigns Masci, as agent.

A pair of colts tied for the fastest time over two furlongs, covering the distance in 20 3/5 seconds.

Hip No. 92, a Super Saver colt out of the stakes-winning Yes It’s True mare Lunargal, who is herself a half-sister Grade 3 winners Lunarpal and Astrology and a full sister to stakes winner Lunarlady. She is consigned as agent by Eddie Woods.

Hip No. 101, a War Front colt out of the Elusive Quality mare Maryfield, an Eclipse Award-winning female sprinter. Woods also consigned this colt, as agent.
