Fasig-Tipton November: Pope buys sale topper Betterbetterbetter for $5.2 million

Irish-bred Betterbetterbetter fetched the highest price at Monday's Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall selected mixed sale as one of the final offerings of the evening, selling to Mandy Pope’s Whisper Hill Farm for $5.2 million.

The 4-year-old Galileo mare sold carrying her first foal, by War Front. A Group 3-placed winner on the racetrack, Betterbetterbetter win one of seven career starts for earnings of $47,618.

Bred in Ireland by Premier Bloodstock, Betterbetterbetter is out of the unplaced Darshaan mare Jude, whose seven winners from eight foals to race include Group 1 winners Yesterday and Quarter Moon, Group 1-placed All My Loving, Group 2-placed Hold Me Love Me, and stakes-placed Magicalmysterytour. She is from the family of Group 1 winners Allegretto, Alborada, Albanova, and Aussie Rules, as well as Group 2 winners Thomas Chippendale, Last Second, Midas Touch, and Arrikala.

Betterbetterbetter was consigned as agent by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency.
