Barbara D. Livingston Gulfstream Park is one of several track's featured in Friday's DRF Playbook.
Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
1:29 WO 2nd HOBBIE CLASS (#1, 6-1) hasn't been postward in nearly two years, but the speedy mare could take this light non-two field gate-to-wire if sufficiently fit. Note that she was working at Tampa before breezing thrice here on the Tapeta and was probably in Florida all winter. - Ron Gierkink

2:28 GP 5th CAPTURE THE TIME (#8, 8-1) was buried on the rail in his last two starts and both were elongated sprints. Folks, that is the worst place to be going those distances. Now this gelding draws best with his attack post. This guy was only two lengths back with a furlong to go in his most recent and simply tired some. He got a 75 Beyer at Tampa only four back and that was in an elongated sprint. Second time here rounds out the appeal. - Scott Ehlers

2:36 BAQ 4th MAGNI (#5, 7-2) comes here doing well and while those last two good efforts came at FL note prior good work here so it's not as if she's some FL specialist. She has some versatility, too. - Mike Beer

3:18 CD 6th Maybe it's just that LAMBETH (#1, 9-2) exceeded my expectations, but his comeback performance last out, a good third behind two horses who'd win this race, caught my eye. Thought he needed longer, wasn't sure about grass, but liked the way he moved on turf. Set for a good ground-saving trip - will have to find room at some point - from the rail, and I like him to win be this turf or dirt. - Marcus Hersh

4:00 LRC 1st HABEAS (#6, 7-2) comes off a sharp 2nd vs. $10K foes at SA after a couple months off so he's apparently doing well and being doubled in value is encouraging. Note some good work over this course, too. - Michael Hammersly

4:00 WO 7th GINGER'S HOLIDAY (#6, 4-1) has posted improving works leading up to his return from a 6 1/2-month layoff--his solo May 30 gate drill was deceptively good. He should be ready to roll right away while aiming for his second win in a row. - Ron Gierkink

4:11 BAQ 7th CYCLONITE (#2, 7-2) has been knocking on the door since last summer and might be positioned to finally get that first U.S. win. He's handled this main turf course well. - Mike Beer

4:55 CD 9th Mishmash race - I'm going with the horse I think is good enough to contend and can win on the trip - MISS PHARAOH (#8, 4-1). Stays 9f and was just tiring late in win over that distance two back after making a pretty early sharp move to the lead first race after a four-month layoff. Off turf in last - look at that race as a good bridge to this one. Improved 4yo still has upside. Gets first run on the speed - seems like a few of them - and can hold off what looks like a moderate group of closing types. - Marcus Hersh

5:32 LRC 4th DAZZLE COMM (#2, 4-1) didn't run badly in his debut at SA May 10. Not only can you always forgive a first run, it came on turf vs straight maidens. That heat was at least flattered (produced two next-out winners). With that behind him he drops, moves to dirt and adds blinkers and a snappy work June 12 says he's doing well. Two of his four sibs are winners. - Michael Hammersly
