As mediocre as Brighton Star (#4) has been, he's the one to beat with this added distance – but hardly one to trust. Throw the Sadler claim and the two MSW droppers onto the A list, toss in three Cs, and hope to survive. Race 7 A - 5,7,10 B - 3,9,12 C - None I have two opinions about this race: The pace will be faster than par & contested, and Pat's Back (#9) is probably a bad comeback dropper. So the three As (two of which are prices) are off-the-pace types, the three Bs moderately logical horses that will be closer to the front. Race 8 A - 2,3 B - 5 C - None I'd make Summer Exclusive (#2) my top pick, & will hope he wins as the 2nd choice, but likely favorite Strong Wind (#3) simply can't be left off the A list, either. If a hot pace percolates and saps the top two, A Toast To You (#5) could swoop in for mild upset. Race 9 A - 2,7,9 B - 5,8,11 C - None 15-1 Shenzhou (#2) is a spot play & one of the ones who could blow this up. Have none of the chalks on the A list, & will leave 5-2 M/L choice Denzel (red flags, negative pace scenario) out entirely. Too pricey on my end to fool around too much with multiple B tix, though I'll consider one with all ABBB ticket to go along with the AAAA, ABAA, AABA, AAAB, and CAAA.
