Del Mar: Pick 3 Analysis for Saturday, July 27

Races 3-5 Saturday at Del Mar offer pick-3 bettors a chance to knock off morning-line favorites in each leg.

Race 3 is a $20k maiden-claiming sprint for fillies and mares. Second choice SCARY FAST (#9 7-2 pre-scratch line) is a single. She is fast; speed has dominated sprints.

Race 4 is the $100k Fleet Treat for fillies. On a fair surface, DOINGHARDTIMEAGAIN (#6, 6-5) would likely win. Polytrack, however, is not fair. Speed dominates – 19 of the first 30 sprints were won by the pacesetter. That gives front-runner SWEET MARINI (#4, 2-1) a chance to steal it. Use both, and single the higher price on a second ticket.

Race 5 is a restricted (non-winners of two) $16k claiming route in which contenders include TOTALLY BLONDE (#1, 20-1), TWITCH (#5, 3-1), SPLENDIFEROUS MOON (#7, 5-1), NOW HOPE (#8, 4-1) and BAS (#9, 5-1).

Use those five on one ticket, "all" on a second ticket.
