Race 3 ROCK THIS WAY (#3, 4-1) was blocked most of the final quarter-mile last out; he drops in class. BIG WAGS (#7, 5-2) made a premature move and ran well. He also drops. Use both in the first leg. Race 4 RENEESGOTZIP (#1, 4-5) is the horse to beat, but she benefitted from a speed bias in her comeback. Double the race with improving SWEET MARINI (#5, 3-1), triple the race on a second ticket with horse-for-course WINDING WAY (#2), 5-1, and a third ticket will use all. Race 5 A N1X turf route includes probable winner TOM’S TRIBUTE (#7, 5-2), who was tons best last out in a similar spot. He is a single. The pick 3 play ($1 increments, $20 total) 3, 7 w 1, 5 w 7 = $4 3, 7 w 1, 2, 5 w 7 = $6 3, 7, with “all” with 7 = $10   Pick 3 Analysis by Michael Hammersly(Races 5-7) Race 5 Keys Something Unusual, U.S. Citizen, Tom’s Tribute B’s Mambo Man, Te Rapa C’s My Samurai Warrior SOMETHING UNUSUAL (#4, 9-2) and TOM’S TRIBUTE (#7, 5-2) just finished 3rd, and 2nd, respectively, separated by only about a half-length. They all figure right there again. U. S. CITIZEN (#5, 10-1) has been sharp in turf sprints and is bred to relish this longer game. MAMBO MAN (#8, 6-1) was 5th in that same race as ‘UNUSUAL and ‘TRIBUTE beat less than a length by those 2 so he belongs. TE RAPA appears to be peaking. Race 6 Keys Gnarly Dude B’s Hadfunlastnight, Dress Code C’s Let’s Get Crackin GNARLY DUDE (#8, 7-2) found optional claiming waters too deep here July 28 but he returns to the level of a strong win (over many of these, by the way). He’s also reunited with Talamo who was up for that big win. HADFUNLASTNIGHT (#6, 9-2) was no match for ‘DUDE in that July 6 race but has speed and appears on the way up. DRESS CODE (#2, 5-1) was 2nd to ‘DUDE in that aforementioned July 6 race and fits well here. Race 7 Keys La Quintessa, Spring Again B’s Sunset Strip C’s Belle of the Fleet, Wild Caroline LA QUINTESSA (#8, 5-1), kin to G1 SW Mi Sueno, has worked smartly for her debut. SPRING AGAIN likewise has rehearsed well for a trainer (Ward) who’s superb first time out. SUNSET STRIP (#6, 9-2) has worked well and is kin to G3 SP Manando. BELLE OF THE FLEET (#2, 5-1) acts like a runner with a big 6f bullet here Aug. 3 (1:11.80), as does WILD CAROLINE (#10, 5-1).
