Darley hires Duffy as general manager of Kildangan Stud

Sheikh Mohammed al-Maktoum’s Darley has hired Gerry Duffy, previously WinStar Farm’s stallion seasons director, to be general manager of Darley’s Kildangan Stud in Ireland.

Duffy, a native of Co. Kildare, Ireland, and  a graduate of the 2007 Darley Flying Start program, worked for Darley’s American operations for about five years before joining WinStar in Versailles, Ky. In addition to managing Kildangan, Duffy also will assist Kildangan Stud director Jimmy Hyland in managing the operation’s seven Irish farms.

Darley also has announced it has promoted Eamon Moloney to nominations manager in Ireland from his previous seven-year role as part of the stud’s European nominations team. Moloney has worked for Darley since 1997.

Duffy and Moloney will work together to oversee Darley’s Irish stallions.
