The connections of Swale Stakes winner Trinniberg are more likely to point to the Preakness Stakes than the Kentucky Derby, owner Shivananda Parbhoo said Monday. Toward that end, Parbhoo chose to run his 3-year-old in Saturday’s $250,000 Bay Shore at seven furlongs as opposed to the Illinois Derby at 1 1/8 miles.
“I don’t think he’s ready to go a mile and an eighth right now,” Parbhoo said Monday.
Trinniberg, a son of Teuflesberg, finished second in last year’s Grade 1 Hopeful and Grade 2 Nashua and won the Grade 3 Swale by six lengths. He has yet to run beyond seven furlongs.
Trinniberg’s competition in the Bay Shore is expected to include Hardened Wildcat, How Do I Win, Maan, Perfect Trippi, and Phil Dancer.
See you guys at Pimlico... Namaste'.

unbelievable! they want to run him in the preakness while admitting they don't believe he's ready to go a mile and one eighth?
Come on if he can win the bay shore (which i have some preservation), why not just wait a while and trained for the Kings Bishop? at least it is 7furlongs and is more reasonable for the horse

She wintered at Payson Park before working four times here on the Poly, and should be ready to rumble with Da Silva riding for a live barn. GLORIOUS ANGEL ran against a speed bias when fifth in an April 21 maiden special. Trainer Mark Casse hit with 20% of his second-out droppers to maiden-claiming company over the past five years ($1.50 ROI). MORNING HAS BROKEN was a chalky second vs.
