I always luv the "Mandatory Pay-Out" bit....Pretty sure it's a mandatory pay out if you hit any P6...
rahman Williams 9 months ago
There cant.be a carryover that is what they mean by Mandatory payout. There cant be any carryover to the next year NYRA rules. You could get paid tor hitting Four out of Six races. It Actually makes it a better betting oppurtunity for people who play small tickets.

Why is every article on drf now a pay article? Bleeding us

good somebody was smart enough to be open on new year eve. there's nowhere in this game to voice a complaint. so guys like me use the blog. Why are the bettors punished in all objection reversals? Why hurt us? Look at Parx Race 1 today as an example, incidental slight contact and they take him down. . Good thing I did not do $100 to win. In England the result stands. . Has anyone considered that maybe bettors will leave or not bet as much? all of the things that can be improved why not this?

I Now share the Opinion of leaving the order of finish alone. I believe it is best for the betters. I have made money.on my horses getting the moved up I am actually about 50/50 with this decision. Punish the owners, trainers and Jockeys. Owner loses all purse money ban from entering a horse for 10 to 30 days. Trainer does not get awarded Victory put in record face same 10 to 30 days suspension but aloud to have other horses in his barn entered . Fine of 10% of purses 50k Max unless TC race or BC race owner and/or trainer. Jockey 15-30 day suspension. Just a thought

Why should the owner and trainer be suspended? That doesn't make any sense at all.

You are right no suspension for trainer and owners. Suspend jock and Strip purse money. Still would like to see no change

Do like the NFL does: The result stands as called on the field -- or in this case as occurs on the track - unless there is CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE that the play -- or the actual result in the case of a race -- CONCLUSIVELY MUST be overturned. Often with "Inquiries," especially when they take forever to rule on -- I find myself convinced that one steward thinks he saw something and he refuses to budge, and after time drags on and on, the other two to just give up and go along and give it to him.

from a neutral point of view, the disqualification was more than justified. 3-5 favorite hits the lead at the 1/8th pole, then under a right handed whip, drifts in 3-4 paths causing the eventual 2nd place finisher to almost clip heels and go down, and soundly bumping the 3rd finisher off stride. There are no sure things in racing, and maybe instances like this will keep you from betting so heavily on a 3-5 chalk in a beaten claiming race at Parx...And publicly announcing your sour grapes afterward. What would happen if NYRA had to cancel Tuesday card? By law the carryover money can not be transferred to the following year (Wednesday). Where would the $93K go to?
Anonymous 9 months ago
The same place it goes each time they claim they have a winning ticket, but really they dont. In the track officials wallets.

It would go into the general fund not to the players. I am still waiting for that extra 1% that they applied to the takeout to keep OTB open in NY it closed and the extra takeout is still there This game is managed by crooks.

How many more times is trainer Todd Pletcher going to run Teen Pauline without a break? They are running this nice filly into the ground! She keeps running third, they keep running her back. This is the Decade of Greed and Pletcher and the owners are proving that this is true!!! Send her to the farm for 3 months Todd! Oh, I forgot - you never get a break so why should your horses...

2 runs at 2 and 6 runs as a 3 year old....what are you talking about?
Slew32A 9 months ago
You should buy a horse, pay Todd his $120 a day plus $2000 minimum( that is his average ) monthly vet bills plus another $8000 year end for new equipment. then let the horse rest all year in the barn. You want to bash a trainer, go right ahead but owners rarely make a profit. Know what your talking about before you make ridiculous comments.

Geral did you just wanted to say something bad about Pletcher? There ate a whole lot of Animal worshipers oops I mean Animal lover's who wish horses were only aloud to run 6 times a year.
