Golden Soul wins Belmont in a walk!

I was there, and if you watched the prior race Lucas won on the front at 24-1, I am sure that Stevens said lets go to front the speed is holding, I sit down by the finish line for the past 35 years, and after that race he and Lucas had these big smiles, talked about the Preakness, therefor I listened and hit the exacta twice and 10 wps, and if orb would have gotten 3rd the tri. The old saying my father taught me if they aren't good enough to run in the derby, don't bet them in the preakness, holds tru more than not, but all in all a great day. Belmont should be intresting.

Well there you go, I warned all of you that the Derby was a false indicator because of the crazy fast pace that was set. I warned you that the horses that were 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th wound up finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th. I warned you that the order of finish was a product of track position and not a true indicator of ability. I also predicted here in this blog that Oxbow was all up in that pace at the Derby but held much better than the other speeds who just collapsed. I hope someone listened and had a nice profitable day like myself. Thanks to all of the Orb supporters I got quite a handy price.

All you fools that thought Orb would win Ha ha ha ha ha ha who gets the last laugh now.

Obviously the track was set up for speed and the rail was dead even the winner stayed out in the 3 or 4 path the whole race. Then to top it off no one challenged him and he walked through the race, good for gary stevens and who cares for lukas he is notorious for destroying good horses at an early age, Orb to me just didn't look comfortable and had no apparent excuse, really feel for a classy gentleman like Shug wouldn't surprise me if he skips Belmont and rest Orb to train and destroy the turtle pace they got away with today see who's on top at the end of the 3 year old campaign this year and I will guarantee it wont any of Lukas"s horses. My money will be on Orb in breeders cup! Pimlico is a terrible speed bias track and turns are to tight, they need to move that leg of triple crown to a better track maybe gulfstream or turn Keenland back into conventional dirt track

Love It! Another average crop of 3 year olds! Didn't Bet The Race, just sat back and watched a 3/5 shot run out of the money. Thought it was too tough a race to handicap on a dry surface along with the 2 newcomers. Waiting for the Belmont,& hope DOJ shows up for the dance at a mile and a half. Not much to beat if you ask me. Congrats to all that had the winner!
