Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Take Charge Brandi is pre-entered to the Delta Princess.

Delta Downs took pre-entries for its richest races of the meet on Tuesday, with Wake Up Nick, Conquest Tsunami, and Mr. Z among 13 runners pre-entered in the Grade 3, $1 million Delta Downs Jackpot. Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Take Charge Brandi led the list of 17 pre-entries for the Grade 3, $400,000 Delta Downs Princess.

The Jackpot, for 2-year-olds at 1 1/16 miles, and the Princess, for 2-year-old fillies at a mile, will share an afternoon card on Nov. 22. Delta will take final entries for both races next Tuesday, said the track’s director of racing, Chris Warren.

Wake Up Nick has won five of six starts, with his lone loss coming last out when he ran second in the Golden State Juvenile at Santa Anita on Nov. 1.

Mr. Z ran on the same card, finishing fifth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. Conquest Tsunami last raced at Churchill Downs and won the Street Sense.

Golden Actor, winner of the $200,000 Jean Lafitte at Delta Downs, was pre-entered and has first preference into the Jackpot, which will have a maximum gate of 10 on the six-furlong track at Delta. The second preference is a first-, second-, or third-place finish in a Grade 1 or Grade 2 race, while a placing in a Grade 3 is the next preference, followed by earnings.

Others pre-entered in the Jackpot were Saratoga Heater, Ocho Ocho Ocho, Red Button, Dekabrist, Far Right, Big Big Easy, Prime Engine, Unblunted, and Two Six Wins.

The pre-entry fee for the Jackpot was $1,000.

Take Charge Brandi, who like Mr. Z is trained by D. Wayne Lukas, was a front-running winner of the Juvenile Fillies at 60-1. Other pre-entered in the Princess were Holywell, Temper Mint Patty, Vivian Da Bling, Charla Rae, Spooled, Sarah’s Sis, Majestic Presence, Skipalute, Danessa Deluxe, Lil Super Bear, True to You, Miss Mandate, Divine Dawn, Lovely Maria, Artistic Touch, and Zelda Can Dance.
The Princess field will be capped at 10.

Vivian Da Bling gets first preference into the race by virtue of her win in the My Trusty Cat Stakes at Delta Downs. Finishes in graded races and earnings will determine the rest of the field if the race overfills.

Delta will have a post of 1:15 p.m. Central on Jackpot Day. There will be an all-stakes pick four which will have a minimum guaranteed pool of $200,000. There will be eight stakes on the card.
