El Adelantado, the longest shot in the field, held off a late threat from 5-2 favorite Rauschenberg to win Saturday's fifth race and pay $118 to win. El Adelantado (Kayla Stra) won the first leg of a pick six that drew a somewhat Saturday modest pool of $162,028. Trained by Leonard Powell, El Adelantado, a 6-year-old gelding, won a $22,500 claimer at Hollywood Park in a 31-1 upset in July and had been fourth and fifth in optional claimers on turf at Hollywood Park and Del Mar following that race.
